The GFI Fluid Pump - A Pump Like No Other

THE CONCEPT

The Fluidator is a hydraulically driven, positive displacement liquids pump specifically developed by GFI with a unique design incorporating many features that make it stand out in today's marketplace. The basic operating principles and design are simple: the proven and tested design concept for the Gas Hog booster compressor was adapted and applied to a liquids pump. This resulted in a slow moving, single stage, double acting piston pump.

THE OPERATION

The pump and hydraulic pistons are designed to move in a reciprocating motion, allowing the Fluid Pump to both draw in and discharge simultaneously. A directional switching mechanism allows the hydraulic drive cylinder to reciprocate, after the pneumatic float valve triggers the pneumatic switch to activate the pump. The liquid is then pumped into the high pressure natural gas discharge line or into another storage tank.

THE PERFORMANCE

The Fluidator is capable of moving up to 30 GPM at pressures up to 400 psi, (3450 kPa). Lower volumes can be obtained by adding the hydraulic speed control option. Its rugged, simplistic design allows for long life, low maintenance and reliability. The Fluidator easily moves water, oil, condensate or any combination of with sand or other solid materials up to 1/2" diameter.

THE FEATURES

A custom designed single component, hydraulic switching block incorporates speed control, pressure adjustments and actuation of the pump. The hydraulic and fluid end cylinders are mounted on a common center gland with an inspection port that can be used to inspect for inner seal failures eliminating any possibility of external leaks.
